INTERVIEW SCHOLARSHIPS:
The IHSRA Scholarship Foundation was established in 2006. Donations, 50/50 and merchandise sales, jackpots etc. allow us to give scholarships each year to our graduating seniors. Seniors must submit their transcript along with a written application and then interview with a panel of judges during our state finals competition. During the 2008-2009 season the rodeo community lost two of its members. In December of 2008 Cameron Wright, a current member of the IHSRA was killed in a car accident. Lucas Emrick, a past member of the IHSRA, also passed away in June of 2009. Because of the generous donations of both of their families we were able double the amount of last year's scholarships.
Congratulations to the following 2009 Scholarship Recipients:
$1,200 Tyler Kilfoil
$1,000 Carlee Dittemore

POINTS DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIPS:
In 2005 the IHSRA adopted the National Scholarship program which awards its seniors scholarships based on the points accumulated in Indiana rodeos throughout their high school careers. Students pay a scholarship fee at each in-state rodeo excluding state finals and then accumulate $1 per point earned at these rodeos. This year's seniors are the first class to have participated for the full 4 years of their high school career. Ashlea Stigall was the top point dollar scholarship recipient with $719 awarded. Congratulations, Ashlea!!! If you would like to see a current worksheet for the points dollar scholarship amounts, click on the following link:
