Rodeo Schedule and Information

Rodeos are scheduled through-out Indiana as well as adjoining states of Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and Michigan. Participants who qualify for the National High School Rodeo Finals will participate in Gillette, Wyoming in 2011. Please see the Membership page for details concerning sign-up and fees. You must be a competing member of the IHSRA and/or NHSRA to enter an IHSRA Rodeo listed on this schedule.

POINTS CALCULATION:  Please keep in mind when determining whether or not to attend a rodeo that a contestant may only carry into state finals a maximum of 60 points from out of state rodeos per event.  (A weekend is actually 2 separate rodeos.)  So, whether we have 6 or 16 out of state rodeos scheduled, only the top 6 scores will be carried into the state finals competition.  In addition, 10% of the in-state rodeo scores will be dropped, with any fraction being rounded up.  For example, if we have 11 - 19 Indiana rodeos scheduled, we will drop 2 rodeos from the in-state points total to be carried into state finals.  If we have 21 - 29 Indiana rodeos scheduled, that number will increase to 3 dropped scores, and so on.  This will help alleviate the stress of feeling like you have to haul to all rodeos to be competitive.  That simply isn't the case.    If you ever have any questions about this, or need any further clarification, please don't hesitate to contact any board member.
